About Jennifer Johnson, MPT

My journey with physical fitness has been a lifelong one.  From growing up on a lake in Minnesota and being active year round outdoors no matter the weather: skating, skiing, swimming, tennis, skateboarding, to playing five Varsity sports including XC running, basketball, track, softball, and golf, I learned not only a multitude of motor patterns and skills, I developed a true appreciation of what the body and spirit can strive for no matter the starting point.  I chose an educational path of Exercise Science, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree while in the sunshine at Arizona State University and then continued my graduate training, receiving my Masters degree at the top Physical Therapy program in the country from the University of Southern California. This academic path set in motion the skills of critical thinking and observation with regards to injury, dysfunction, and limitations, with the appreciation of the vast complexity of how the body works and the variations that each individual has.
